Fred Lyle Shumaker Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Fred Lyle Shumaker of Cartersville, Virginia. Fred, born on October 19, 1945, passed away on October 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Shumaker and Otelia Shumaker. He is survived by: his wife Tina Shumaker; his children, Dana, Jim Bragg (Angie) and Melissa Branch (Adrian); and his grandchildren, Josh Woodley, Courtney Winslett (Christian), Alex Sargent, Sami Wheeler (Austin) and Savannah Bragg.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cartersville Baptist Church (25 High St, Cartersville, VA 23027). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
