Bishop Waverly Cousin Jr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bishop Waverly Cousin Jr. of Cascade, Virginia, who passed away on November 21, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Waverly; his son Waverly; his cousin Bunky Blankenship; his sisters, Elise Eggleton Briddell and Priscilla Angerine; his cousins, Robertson (Carrie Lee) and Edge Johnson; and his brother Clarence Eggleton.
He is survived by: his cousin Carrie Lucille Adams; his wife Barbara McGuire; his daughter Cheryl; his cousin DeShannon Smith (Anthony); his sister Janice Eggleton Davis; and his caregivers, Steve Wilson, Gary Carter and Marvin Adams. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM and from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cross Church (938 Brookdale St, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
