It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Duane Holmes (Castlewood, Virginia), born in Saltville, Virginia, who passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd Holmes and Doris Cahill Holmes; his close friend Jerry Rasnake; and his pets, Babe, Angel and Velvet.

He is survived by : his wife Terry Holmes; his sons, Duane Holmes (Heather) of Chilhowie and Daniel Holmes of Lebanon, Virginia; and his pets, Libby and Bully. He is also survived by two brothers; one adopted sister; and several nieces and nephews.
