She was predeceased by: her parents, Elihu Jessee and Dacy Gladys Ervin Jessee; her husband Wendell "Willkie" Hurd; her siblings, Elihu Jessee, Jr., James Eugene Jessee, Guy Edward Jessee, Joyce Mullins, Jewell Cantrell, Gaynell Cantrell, Eva Kate Helbert and Esther Taylor; and her pet Gracie.
She is survived by: her sister Lois Mullins of Castlewood, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
