She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Cecil and Edith "Toni" Marshall Holbrook; her husband Dale Edgar Mitchell, Jr.; her stepmother Irene Holbrook; and her siblings, Bud Holbrook and Ruth Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Mitzi Johnson (Greg) and Tim Hilton; her grandchildren, Devin Mitchell (Clover) and Lauren Johnson; her stepgrandson Dillon Johnson; her siblings-in-law, Rita Holbrook and Odell Smith; and her close friends, Lorene Holbrook and Juanita of Maine. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
