He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Bennett, Jr. and Catherine Peterson Bennett; and his brothers, Clyde Bennett, Michael Bennett and Scottie Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Phoebe "Kathy" Bennett; his daughters, Amanda Humphreys (Greg), Priscilla Jones and Beverly Walters; his grandchildren, Brittany Henry, Blake Martin, Josi Humphreys and Joseph Humphreys; and his brother David Bennett (Priscilla). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
