He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Rose and Maggie Rose (Rasnick); his wife Shelby Rose (Mann); and his siblings, Pauline Rose, Ruby Murphy, Kathleen Murphy, Nell O'Dell and Dewey Rose.

He is survived by: his children, Trina Wellman (Jack) of Abingdon and Randy (Rebecca) of Lebanon; and his grandchildren, Amber Wellman Chanaa, Ashley Huff, Samantha Crockett and Joseph Rose. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
