She is survived by: her son Sam Shell (Gail); her daughter-in-law Gayle Shell; her grandchildren, Mike Abernathy (Tracy), Michael Shell (Calli) and Dawn Fields; and her great grandchildren, Ethan Fields (Genesis), Riley Abernathy, Nathan Fields (Trinity), Caitlyn Shell (Daniel) and Natalie Shell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Temple Hill Memorial Park (2529 Memorial Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224).
