Norma Jean Phillips Powers Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norma Jean Phillips Powers (Castlewood, Virginia), who passed away on October 13, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Phillips and Lillie Mae Mullins Phillips; and her brothers, Woodrow, Delmar, Mack, Neil, Richard, Joel, Whetzel and Clarence Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Dolores Phillips of Trammel, Drusilla Phillips of Trammel, Twilia Gullett of Castlewood, Virginia and Donald "Winkey" Powers of Trammel, Virginia. She is also survived by nine grandsons; three granddaughters; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Phillips Family Cemetery.
