He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Eugene and Patsy Louise Bishop Kern; his brother Phillip Allen Kern; his wife Linda Kern of Sumter; his sons, Ryan Kern of Lexington and A. Rhys Kern of Elgin; his siblings, Jeanie Wampler (David) of Kingsport, Tennessee, Dennis Kern of Sumter, Tony Kern (Sharon) of Vale, Jim Kern of Vale and David Kern (Cindy) of Kingsport, Tennessee.; and his pet Rocky.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
