He was predeceased by : his mother Zona Hileman Austin; and his grandparents, Dan and Irene Glass. He is survived by : his children, Logan Austin (Megan) of Coeburn, Virginia, Lacey Austin of Coeburn, Virginia and Laken Minor of Coeburn, Virginia; his father Burnis Austin of Dante, Virginia; his siblings, Tammy Lynn Bush (Eddie) of St. Paul, Virginia, Steve Austin (Gail) of Dante and Mike Austin (Diane Artrip) of Dante, Virginia; his grandchildren, Hudson Austin, Hayes Austin and Fisher Minor; and his close friends, Johnny Snipes, Lisa Brown, Ricky Dean Collins and Terry Stone. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224).
