It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Bauer Thomas of Catlett, Virginia, who passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Luis Bauer and Rebecca Ray Bauer Smail; her stepfather Walter H. Smail; her siblings, John L. Bauer and Rebecca Louise (Merle V. Baker); her nephew Daniel V. Baker; her stepsiblings, Edward Smail (Elizabeth), Paul Smail (Ruth), Ronold Smail (Laverne) and Irene Forsyth (Alex); and also Robert N. Thomas, Jr. (Gail Jones Thomas).

She is survived by : her daughter Rebecca Thomas Long (John D. Long) of Catlett, VA; her grandson Zachary T. Long (Jamie); and her great grandchildren, Maxxon, Wyatt of Warrenton, VA and Shane D. Long of Catlett, VA..
