We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2023, at the age of 91, Dorothy Phyllis Vencill Compton of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, born in Richlands, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Vencill and Dixie McNew Vencill; her husband Lorn Compton; her sons, Lorn David Compton and Richard Compton; and her siblings, Robert Vencill, Jr., Betty Martin and Frances Breeding.

She is survived by : her daughters, Debra Case of Bristol, VA and Cathy Hess (Donnie) of Cedar Bluff, VA; and her brothers, John Vencill (Dorothy) of Richlands, VA, Jack Vencill of Cedar Bluff, VA and Joe Vencill (Dot) of Bucyrus. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
