It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Propst (Cedar Bluff, Virginia), who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Martin Newberry and Juanita Pruitt Newberry; her husband Billy Propst; and her siblings, Carol Vance and Herbert Newberry.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Propst (Steven Groves) of Corona, Julie Newman (Jesse) of Bealeton, VA, Melissa Johnson (Wallace) of Raven, VA and Daniel Propst (Stacia) of Pounding Mill, VA; her sisters, Barbara Boyd of Richlands, VA and Nellie Zahradnix of Murfreesboro, TN; her grandchildren, Steven Johnson (Elizabeth), Austin Newman (Jenna), Meagen Yates and Tobie Propst; and her great grandchildren, Tristan Johnson, Oliver Johnson and Artemis Newman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
