He is survived by: his sons, Michael Whitaker, Brian Whitaker (Emily) and Brandon Whitaker; his grandchildren, William, Karen, Jocelyn, Mason and Samantha; his sister Mary of Tazewell, VA; his close friend Patty of Pounding Mill, VA; his nieces, Chelsea and Miranda; and his pet Gracie.
