He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bently Vencill, Sr. and Dixie McNew Vencill; his brother Robert Bentley Vencill, Jr.; his sister-in-law Jacqueline; his sisters, Mary Frances Breeding, Betty Martin and Phyllis Compton (Lorn); his brother-in-law William; and his son-in-law Kenny McGlothlin (Maudine Osborne Vencill).
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Lee Patton (Bill) of Richlands, VA and Tina McGlothlin of Richlands, VA; his grandchildren, Billy Charles Patton, Jr. (Rachel) of Pounding Mill, VA, Tivis Jackson Patton of Surfside Beach, SC and Katie McGlothlin of North Dinwiddie, VA; his great grandchildren, Brennan Charles Patton and Ethan Levi Patton of Pounding Mill, VA; his brothers, Joe Vencill (Dorothy) of Bucyrus, OH and John Vencill (Dorothy) of Richlands, VA; his brother-in-law Gerald Breeding of Tazewell, VA; and his pet Belle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his special neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Singleton Funeral and Cremation Service (1116 Cedar Valley Dr, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
