She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Calvin Rankin, Sr. and Mabel Tetter Rankin; her children, Daniel Wesley Ball and Chandra Lea Ball Elkins; her siblings, Judy Ann Rankin, Herbert Eugene Rankin and Thomas Calvin Rankin, Jr.; and her grandparents, Robert James, Myrtle Rankin, George and Murtie Tetter.

She is survived by : her caregivers, Clinch Valley Hospital, Roanoke Valley Hospital, Mattie Williams Hospital and Donna; her husband Dewey Ball; her sons, Randall Ball of Cedar Bluff and Dale Ball (Sarah) of Tazewell; her grandchildren, William Elkins of Pounding Miller, Zachary Elkins of Pounding Miller, Justin Ball of Cedar Bluff, Jacob Ball of Charleston, Brittany Sexton (Brian) of Lebanon, Whitley Smith (Jake) of Lebanon and Daniel Ball of Tazewell; her stepgranddaughter Shaynah McNulty; her great grandchildren, Barrett Sexton, Baylor Sexton, Keaton Daugherty, Bentley Smith and Hudson Smith; her siblings, Eddie Charles Rankin of Pulaski and Mary Jane Jarrett (Cecil) of Murrell's Inlet; her son-in-law Travis Elkins; and her brother-in-law Kermit Gene Jackson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
