The memory of Sherman McKinley Tatum (Cedar Bluff, Virginia), who passed away on June 11, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Garnett Tatum and Vera Harrison Tatum; his wife Norma Lee Hagy Tatum; his siblings, Edward Tatum, Gains Tatum, Cecil Tatum, Joe Tatum, Doug Tatum and Jeannie Tatum; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Hagy, Clyde Steele, Joyce Hagy, Gin Tatum, Lois Tatum and Dorothy Tatum.
He is survived by: his sons, Ricky Gene Tatum and Jeffery Dale Tatum (Sandy); his sister Helen Tatum Steele; his grandchildren, Levi Tatum, Cole Tatum, Walker Tatum, Evan Tatum, Madison Tatum, Tiffany Byrd and Paige Byrd; his great grandchildren, Sophia Blanton, Kinley Blanton and Tatem Blanton; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Hagy, Della Tatum and Lisa Hagy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Singleton Funeral and Cremation Service (1116 Cedar Valley Dr, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Steelesburg Methodist Church, 154 Oak Lawn Circle, Lebanon, Virginia, 24266, in memory of Sherman McKinley Tatum.
