He was predeceased by : his parents, Thurman Boardwine and Jeanette Stilwell Cole; his wife Martha Ann Charles Boardwine; and his brother James "Jimmy" Boardwine, Sr.. He is survived by : his daughter Jordan Boardwine (Jonah Stewart); his sisters-in-law, Connie Boardwine, Mildred Ann Street, Marcella Ball, Linda Ratliff (Bobby), Kathy Phipps (Buck), Geneva McClanahan (Darrell) and Teresa Charles; his niece Stacy Mullens (Brian); and his nephew J. W. Boardwine (Lucinda).
