It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tina Ann Ascue of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, born in Richlands, Virginia, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Alice Mae Bailey and David Harley James; her brother Harley James, Jr.; her stepbrother Rodney Honaker; her grandparents, Rev. Earl, Cordelia James, Thomas and Beulah Bailey; her aunt Earlene Yates; and her close friend Linda Proffitt.

She is survived by : her husband David Wayne Ascue; her daughter Natosha Hess (Jeremey) of Raven, Virginia; her grandchildren, Haylie Hess of Raven, Virginia and Landon Hess of Raven, Virginia; her stepmother Phyllis Honaker James of Honaker, Virginia; her siblings, Melissa Owens (David) of Richlands, Sheliah Thomas (Harvey) of Council, Virginia, Aaron Honaker (Missy) of Honaker and Daniel Honaker (Erica) of Claypool Hill, Virginia; her stepsister Gail Barton of South Carolina; her siblings-in-law, Mickey and Patricia Ascue; her aunts and uncles, Helen Miller, Linda Dial, Clarence Yates and Lee James; and her close friends, Nancy Jackson, Barbara Sutherland, Sherry Smith, Jamie Helton, Connie McFarland and Bella. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (4686 Redbud Hwy, Honaker, VA 24260). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mental Health America c/o Gift Office, 500 Montgomery Street, Suite 820, Alexandria, VA 22314.
