He was predeceased by: his parents, Walker Eli Asbury and Maude Calhoun Asbury; his former wife Nannie Elizabeth Asbury; his siblings, Gladys Perkins, Thomas and Thurman Asbury; and his stepdaughter Regina Stiltner Yost.
He is survived by: his wife Zana Asbury; his children, Arlene Hutchinson of Abingdon, Virginia and Kenneth Asbury (Tyann) of Cedar Bluff, Virginia.; his stepdaughters, Nancy Buckles Wingo, Charlotte Wingo and Marcella Osborne (Ronald); his sister Hazel Canter of Maxwell, Virginia; his grandchildren, Brittany Hutchinson, Chelsea Parker (Drew), Matthew Hutchinson (Shariah Cloud) and John Luke Asbury; and his great grandchildren, Julian Ortiz, Brooklyn Ortiz, Maisie Parker and Broderick Hutchinson.
