He was predeceased by: his parents, John CL and Mildred Walker Fitts; his son David Fitts; and his siblings, Auther, James, Bernard, William, Raymond, Bobby, Joseph, John, Seldon Fitts, Gladys, Bernice and Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Hallie P. Fitts; his daughter Amy Ambrose (Joseph); his grandchildren, Allison Barnette (Chase), Chris Ambrose (Sharon), Patrick Ambrose (Christina) and Jeffrey Ambrose; his siblings, Louise Grey (Roy), Alice Daulton (Wayne), Kathy Hinson (David), Marjorie Emerson, Wayne Fitts (Virginia) and Russell Fitts; his daughter-in-law Kyle Fitts; his brothers-in-law, Andrew Reynolds (Sandra) and Herbert Reynolds; and his nephew Patrick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Faulkner Funeral Home, Marks-Bristow Chapel (206 N Church Ln, Tappahannock, VA 22560). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (217 Elevon Rd, Champlain, VA 22438).
