He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cable and Arlene Cable; his siblings, James, Bobby, Maxine, Mary, Myra, Norma, Larry and Brenda; the mother of his children Betty June Hensley; his grandson Joseph Walter Kidwell; his friend Dave Knotts; and his significant other Candy Cressel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Allyson Starling (Randy), Julie Ellis (Gene), Amanda Johnson (Richard) and Anita Craighead (Rich); and his grandchildren, Michael Leonard, Christina Johnson, Elizabeth Eshelman, Kyle Leonard, Luke Leonard, Desiree Smallwood, Woody Dodson, Justin Braun, Danielle Cable, Brittany Cable, Jennifer Johnson, Richard Johnson Jr., Kaitlyn Sproles and Joshua Craighead. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
