He was predeceased by: his parents, Joaquin Nicolas and Esperanza Blas San Nicolas; and his parents-in-law, Jose and Rosalia Bamba Castro. He is survived by: his wife Edwina; and his children, Joseph (Li-Jung), Franklin, John (Annette), Edward (Denise) and Coleen (Jacob). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
