She was predeceased by: her husband Milton L. Becker, Jr. of Chantilly, VA; and her parents, Mary Helen Harris and James Howard McDaniel of Forest City, NC.. She is survived by: her children, Angela Cross Green (Brian) of Clifton, VA, Marcelle Becker Gentile of Ballston Spa, NY and James S. Cross (Enkhee) of Chantilly, VA; her siblings, Jean Harris Scott, James H. McDaniel II of Winchester, VA and Paul Lee McDaniel of Apopka, FL; and her grandchildren, Hope, Hayley, Natalie Green of Clifton, VA, Avery, Tyler Gentile of Ballston Spa, NY, Helen and Evelyn Cross of Chantilly, VA. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Pierce Funeral Home (9609 Center St, Manassas, VA 20110). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
She was an award-winning quilter, creating hundreds of quilts in her lifetime for family, friends, colleagues, students, and charity auctions, some of which were appraised for thousands of dollars for a single quilt.
