With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Noah Lee Rakes (Chantilly, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lee Rakes and Naomi Alverta McCormick Rakes; his former wife Edith Rakes (Johnson); and his siblings, William Virgil Rakes, Robert Lee Rakes, Eulus Rakes, Mary Rakes, Ruth Rakes, Lucinda Jetson Rakes, Elma Marie Rakes, Sidney Eldridge Rakes, Bertha Adeline Rakes, Joseph M. Rakes and Ethel Mae Rakes (Cox).

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Tammy Lunn (Tony) and Timothy Rakes (Karen); his grandchildren, Adrianne, Mary, Lucas, Eden and Elora; his great grandchildren, Savannah and Kaylee; his stepsons, Dwayne and Doug Houtz; his stepgrandchildren, Blair, Emilee, Steven and Anna; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Rylee and Eliza.
