Nicholas touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Nicholas’s presence will be missed, the influence he had on others will remain. Those who knew him will carry forward memories that reflect his character and spirit.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Jane Linkous Subley; his children, Cathy Jo Subley Thompson, Nicholas P. Subley, Jr. and Timothy S. Subley; his granddaughter Nicole Subley; and his great grandchildren, Arabella Hudson and Xavier Hudson. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, six nephews, and one niece.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Nelsen Funeral Home (4650 S Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park (10000 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
