She was predeceased by: her parents, Sterling Martin and Alice L. Martin; and her siblings, Clarence Martin, Ernestine Wood and Peggy Cope.
She is survived by: her son Robert "Bobby" Shiflett II (Holly); her grandchild Allison Shiflett of Amherst; her brother Sterlon L. Martin (Mary Anderson) of Madison; and also, Steven Wood of Buena Vista, Sandra Mitchem (Barry) of Salisbury, N. C., Kim Shiflett Kidd (Roy) of Scottsville, Tim Shiflett (Angela) of Fluvanna, Denise Shiflett Morris (David) of Scottsville and Wendy Garrison of Greene County.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home - Greene Chapel (15075 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (735 Park St, Charlottesville, VA 22902). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Riverview Cemetery (1701 Chesapeake St, Charlottesville, VA 22902).
