She was predeceased by : her parents, Alice Balinski and Henry Balinski; and her husband Carl Edward Poleschner, Sr.. She is survived by : her children, Paula Kucera (David) of New Paltz, Lisa Boehm (Jeff) of Lexington, Erika Struble (Kent) of Charlottesville, Virginia and Carl Poleschner, Jr. (Tanya) of Venice, Florida; her grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew Struble, Cameron, Lia Kucera, Chloe and Samuel Boehm; and her sisters, Lorraine Frisina, Phyllis Kunze, Elaine Ryan, Alice Bryne and Deborah Olsen.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Martha Jefferson Hospital Foundation in recognition of the life-restoring support they provided to Barbara in her later years.
