He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Warren and Ferraba McCray Winegard; his wife Ida Mae Balser Winegard; and his brother Warren Warfield Winegard. He is survived by: his daughters, Ida Lynn (Lester), Mary Kay Winegard Magers (Alan), Loretta Lynn Winegard and Jessica Wise (Dustin); and his sister Sherry Lynn Trageser. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
