He was predeceased by: his mother Ellen Rader Johnston; and his siblings, Bettie Christine Kacey Johnston and John Rader Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Carol Johnston; his daughters, Jacoba Johnston (Michael Walts) and Kelly Johnston (Doug Matthews); his stepchildren, Stacey Shostak (Grant Shostak) and Scott Silverman (Deana Silverman); his grandchildren, Maggie Matthews, Josiah Matthews, Griffin Walts, Eloise Walts, Morgan Shostak, Payton Shostak, Carson Shostak, Aaron Silverman and Connor Silverman; his sister-in-law Dreama Johnston; his niece Vickey Neel; his nephews, Don E Johnston, Wayne Thompson and Michael Johnston; and the mother of his children Linda J Griffin.
