He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hawes Wilmer and Hilda Tucker Wilmer; and his son Todd William Wilmer. He is survived by: his wife Becky Wilmer; his daughter Charlotte Wilmer; his sister Kathy Collins; and his grandsons, Joshua Yager and Liam Wilmer. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church (650 Thrashers Creek Rd, Amherst, VA 24521). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Crozet Fire Department.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Crozet Fire Department or Legacy Hospice.
