We are sad to announce that on May 22, 2025, at the age of 86, Geraldine Lynn Newton (Charlottesville, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Geraldine Lynn had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Geraldine Lynn may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Deighan, Vincent Newton, Christine Cassell, Danny Newton and David Newton (late Francis Newton). She is also survived by her children's spouses, 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint Thomas Aquinas University Parish (401 Alderman Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22903). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lakeview Memorial Park (2724 Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784).
