With sadness, we share the passing of Gladys Marie Thacker of Charlottesville, Virginia. Gladys, born on February 10, 1934, passed away on July 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Thacker and Beatrice Thacker; her husband Ben W. Thacker; her brothers, Wallace and Harold Thacker; and her grandson Jeremy.

She is survived by: her sons, Bruce (Margaret) and Robert (Barbara); her sister Edna Thacker; her grandchildren, Benjamin (Emily), Ryan (Kate), Jackie and Jedidiah; and her great grandchildren, Owen, Theo, Margot Thacker, Brentley Lynch, Alaina Gibson and Henry Lynch.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the North Garden Volunteer Fire Department 4907 Plank Road, North Garden, VA 22959.
