We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2024, at the age of 89, Kate Bloom Kessler of Charlottesville, Virginia, born in Memphis, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Bloom and David Bloom; and her husband J. Arthur Kessler, Jr. (Buddy). She is survived by: her children, Springer, Sally Ann Kessler, Sue Kessler McConaughy (David) and J. A. Kessler III (Barbara).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Botanical Garden of the Piedmont, Charlottesville Symphony at UVA, Ron Brown Scholars, or African American Teaching Fellows.
