She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Thornburg and Rachel Thornburg; her husband Thomas R. Shepherd, Jr.; her son Thomas R. Shepherd, III; and her son-in-law David Michael Wallace.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Elizabeth Wallace and Daniel McBride Shepherd (Robin); her daughter-in-law Mandy Shepherd; and her grandchildren, Savannah, Madeline, Emma Wallace, Cullen and Abigail Shepherd.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Incarnation (1465 Incarnation Dr, Charlottesville, VA 22901).
