She was predeceased by: her husband Leonidas Eugene Wilson, Jr.; her parents, Gazarene Lane Foster and Leroy Ellerson; her stepfather Jose Foster; and her sister Clochette Ellerson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Leah W. Puryear, Jan W. Jones and Betty Jo Fortune; her grandchildren, Alysha Corbin, Dominique Fortune, Malikah Jones, Gena Fortune (Colin), Al Jones (Jordan), Eugene Puryear and Ridwan Abdul Ahad; and her great grandchildren, Jaylee Witcher, Ellerson Ripley Fortune Girkins, Maryam Abdul Ahad and Myra Abdul Ahad. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mareea's honor to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church or to Trinity Episcopal Church, 1118 Preston Avenue, Charlottesville, Virginia, where she faithfully worshiped until the time of her passing (http://www.trinityepiscopalchurch.org).
