She was predeceased by: her parents, Hildred Wood and Gracie Edith Meadows Wood; her husband William B Morris; her children, William B Morris Jr. and Shirley Ann Fortune; her granddaughter Denise Morris McDonald; and her siblings, H. M. Wood, Gladys Stephens, Joyce Morris and Nelson E Wood.

She is survived by: her son James Robert Morris (Donna) of Ferrum; and her children-in-law, Donna Morris of Charlottesville and James Michael Fortune of Louisa. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home - Charlottesville Chapel (201 1st St S, Charlottesville, VA 22902). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Of the Brethren Cemetery (4152 Free Union Rd, Free Union, VA 22940).
