With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Meredith Wayne Courtney of Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on April 10, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Thomas Courtney and Christine Shifflett Courtney; his brother Melvin Ray Courtney; his great-niece Mary Christine Sheldon; and his great-nephew Colby Wade Eppard.

He is survived by: his wife Cecilia "Punkin" Courtney; his children, Karen Bryant Hester (Darrick), G. Allen Bryant and Thomas Wayne Courtney; his grandchildren, Aaron Bryant, Kaymin, Eden, Nilah and Darrick Hester; and his siblings, Cheryl Courtney and Keith Courtney (Becky). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
