He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Bethune Collins; and his stepfather Kermit Nichols. He is survived by: his parents, JoAnn Compton Nichols and Bela Pleaz Collins; his stepmother Susan Ascencio; his children, Liza Collins (Stewart) and Logan (Jessica Trapeni); his grandchildren, Kaia Nelson, Jackson and Oliver Collins; his brother Joe Collins (Autumn); and his sibling's children, Rebecca and David Collins.
