He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anne Mercedes McPike Nelson and Michael Milton Nelson; his brother Eric Nelson; his spouse Tracy Bonynge Strange; his daughter Emily Elizabeth Nelson; his niece Abigail C. "Abby" Dennis; and his adoptive daughter Allyson M. Morris.
