It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Loretta Payne of Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Carey and Major Young; her siblings, Brenda Ross and Earl Payne; and her stepfather Norbert Carey.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, La'Mont Payne of Charlottesville, Virginia, Jonathan Banks of Charlottesville, Virginia, Terri Brown (Rovell) of Palmyra and Ruth White (William) of Charlottesville, Virginia; her cousin Lloyd Payne (Betty) of Delaware; and her close friends, Patricia Blair-Jones, Tutlenia Key-Garner, Angela Carr, Deborah Yates and Lisa Eggleston. She is also survived by her grandchildren.
