With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Batten Roberts (Charlottesville, Virginia), who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Dickerson and Lillian Dickerson; her husbands, Ronald A. Roberts and Norman L. Morris; and her sister Dolores.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Graves (Doris) and Sherry Graves; her grandchildren, Sherri Graves Roberts (Dustin), Kelly Graves (John) and Shaun Barbour; her great grandchild Harper; and her brothers, Guy "Sonny" Batten, Jr. and Stan Batten (Pat). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home - Charlottesville Chapel (201 1st St S, Charlottesville, VA 22902). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Monticello Memory Gardens (670 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Charlottesville, VA 22902).
