It is with sadness that the passing of Steven Wayne Johnson of Charlottesville, Virginia is shared. Steven, born on November 21, 1945, passed away on September 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Johnson and Virginia Johnson; his wife Betty Johnson; his brother Gene Johnson (Phyllis); his sisters-in-law, Portia Craig and Elizabeth "Liz" Mawyer (Guy); and his grandson Justin "Bubba" Minter.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Lisa Minter (Jimmy) of Charlottesville; his granddaughter Amber Minter Shifflett (Jonathan); his great grandchildren, Justin "Blake" Shifflett of Buckingham and Wesley Shifflett of Buckingham; his sister Linda Carefoot (Bobby) of Scottsville; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Clark of Waynesboro and Henry Craig of Schuyler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hill & Wood Funeral Services (201 1st St S, Charlottesville, VA 22902). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Holly Memorial Gardens (3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22911).
