He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Meadows; his grandchildren, Cameron Hall (Sloane), Candice Hall, Chad Hall, Stacey Williamson (Nicholas), Arvin Dorman Jr. and Elizabeth Dorman; and his sister Connie Jarman. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Ivy Creek United Methodist Church, 674 Woodlands Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
