He is survived by: his wife Thelma Oliver Marable of Chase City, Virginia; his children, Donell Marable (Cordelia) of Grand Prairie, Wanda Marable (Stacey) of Chase City, Randy Marable (Rolanda) of Saxe and Jennifer Marable of Chase City, Virginia; and his siblings, Paul (Mattie) of Skipwith, Virginia, Wayne (Mary) of Chase City, Virginia, Elaine Marable of Chase City, Virginia, Edith Johnson (Ronald) of Chase City, Virginia, Leon Marable (Nicole) of Chase City, Virginia, Kathy Marable of Chase City, Virginia, Beverly Marable (Helen) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jerry Marable and Mary Sommerville (David) of Red Oak. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Giles-Harris Funeral Home (1304 N Main St, Chase City, VA 23924). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
