He was predeceased by: his parents, William Coaxum and Dianna B. Coaxum; his wife Virginia Coaxum; and his children, Michelle Coaxum and Darrell Coaxum.
He is survived by: his children, Monique Coaxum of Chase City, Jeffrey of Yonkers, Reginald Coaxum of Yonkers and Herman Coaxum of Danville, Virginia.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters-in-law.
