He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Boyd and Lillie Fowlkes Boyd; his son Alvin James Boyd; and his siblings, Adam Tyree Boyd, Evealean Boyd, Florence Hargrove, Mataw Boyd and Curtis Thomas Boyd.
He is survived by: his children, Madeline Moamin (Faison) and David Boyd; his siblings, Nathaniel Boyd (Louise) and Christine Jackson (James); and his sister-in-law Gail Boyd. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
