He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Wilson and Willie Effie Rutledge Wilson; his wife Annie "Polly" Carnes Wilson; and his sons, Troy, Roy Wilson and Thomas Lee Wilson.
He is survived by: his son Timothy B. Wilson (Lisa) of Chase City; his grandsons, Cody Lee Wilson (Shelly) and Dakota Scott Wilson (MaKayla); his great grandchild Kainaan Gracelee Wilson; his niece Annette Wilson; and his close friend Janice Mann. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
