He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Wright; his children, Susan Black (Brian), Kandace Pickett and Richard Alan Wright, Jr. (Virginia); his stepson Donald Abernathy (Kimberly); his siblings, Jean Holley (James), Janet Creasy, Donna Haskins (Lee), Barbara Truman, Elaine Jarrell (Fred), Patty Wright, Kenny Wright (Barbara), Rodney Wright (Patty), James Wright (Rebecca) and Dale Wright; and his grandchildren, Donald Abernathy III (Trey), Nicholas Abernathy (Madison), Katlyn Abernathy, Samantha Abernathy, Bobby Townes of Hope, T. J., Tiffany, Justin and Tabitha Baugh. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
